Are You a Fire Witch?

Continuing on with the various witches of the elements, today I am focusing on Fire Witches. Many who are Fire Witches don’t even realize that this is a part of their own personal makeup. This lack of conscious connection can lead to a few things emotionally that are signs of being out of balance or harmony with the Fire Witch within. These things are:

1. Feeling abandoned when someone leaves the room or leaves a discussion that you have felt passionate about.
2. Burning the candle at both ends and wondering why your inner flame has burned down to a small ember.
3. Moving from zero to volcanic rage in .02 seconds.
4. Feeling like yours is the only light that sustains everyone else in the room or in the family or in the group.

Needless to say, if you are a Fire Witch and experiencing these types of things then it is high time to get your energy balanced and get your elemental energies harmonized. It is also time to look at how you are managing your life and what can be done to create positive change for yourself.

Fire is a wonderful element to work with when you are in a balanced state of mind. It has the ability to radiate light, to reduce everything to its most base nature (ash), to warm the hearth and the heart. As mentioned in previous blogs regarding elemental witches, we can all attune to every one of the elements. We do not have to be capable with only one over all the rest. However, there are some signs that you just might be a Fire Witch and those are:

1. You spot toxic behavior at 50 paces. You tend to have little to no tolerance for such behavior and will passionately challenge people who are acting in a toxic way, especialy when you see that the toxic behavior is negatively afftecting yourself or anyone else.
2. Your passion is a very long, slow burn. Once you establish a passion, very little will sway you from it.
3. You will feel both energized and peaceful around candles, fireplaces, fire pits and bon fires.
4. You will get visions and insights when gazing at flames. This is an ancient scrying practice that Fire Witches seem to excel at.
5. You enjoy the heat of the sun more than the cool of the moon.
6. You are more attracted to reds, yellows and oranges than you are to greens, blues and purples/pinks.
7. Often a Fire Witch will have a baseline body temperature that is consistently higher than the average. If you have lower than average this is a sign of an imbalance in your body, the causes of which can be varied.
8. If you have ever been one to play with matches or lighters just to see the flame ignite, you just might be a Fire Witch.
9. When you finally get angry those around you will come to understand the meaning of the phrase, “scortched earth.”
10. You prefer to look at things from a bit higher a perspective than from the infinite details around a situation. That higher perspective enables you to see many possibilities all at one time.
11. You are able to inspire others easily. This is because the flame you carry can be extremely contageous. In many ways a Fire Witch is able to “light a fire under one’s ass” and get people motivated to succeed.
12. Once you commit to a task or a situation you prefer to see it through to the very end, even if that takes years. Although a Fire Witch can be incredibly spontaneous, many prefer the “slow burn” when it comes to success that is thorough. They have come to understand through their experiences that a fast burn will often end up leaving much to be desired. They tend to enjoy long-term commitments in work and in love. But they are also capable of temporary arrangements, as long as they are in charge of the timeline.
13. You burn away toxic energies and b.s. faster than other elemental witches.
14. Embiance matters. Often Fire Witches will have their homes lit up with candlelight in the evenings rather than electrical lighting. However, if electrical lighting is required, Fire Witches will be quite enthusiastic with decorative lighting, such as Christmas Lights, Projector Lights of stars and galaxies or aurora borealis, or just colored bulbes that are anything other than white. Lamps are often in the form of Moroccan lamps or regular lamps with either colored bulbs or low wattage bulbs.
15. Lightning storms will energize you. This leads one into the sub-category of the Fire Witch, which is the Electrical Witch. Electrical Witches will often find that computers and electrical fixtures will respond easier for them than for others. When running into a computer issue that seems unsolvable, for exampole, and Electrical Witch will be able to just sit for a moment, think about what they want the computer to do for them, and VOILA! The computer responds with doing exactly that, whereas anyone else would be going in circles trying to accomplish the same thing.  Electrical Witches will often, simply by holding them, be able to charge a battry.
16. Fire Witches will often predict opportunities coming down the pike much faster than others. This can lead them to a lot of success.
17. Fire Witches will also, however, get bored with a position faster than others would when it comes to the workplace. This could be because the job is boring and not stoking their flame, or it could be an indication of imbalance within the energy of the fire element within the Fire Witch. They are often seen as one who jumps around from one job/career to another with little warning. This is much like how a spark from a fire can jump and light a second fire before anyone notices that it jumped. What the Fire Witch is often doing is seeing that an opportunity has presented itself and how well their previous experience transfers to the new position and supports whatever the new position may be.
18. Fire Witches often find themselves in management or teaching positions because they naturally inspire and are always ready to “lead the way.”
19. Ritually speaking, Fire Witches are more comfortable with burning rituals than other forms of ritual. They can effectively release a situation or relationship by writing it on a piece of paper and then igniting that paper (in a fire safe container, of course!).
20. Fire Witches also tend to enjoy BLING! There are 3 Fire Witches that I know, and each of them has jewelry that sparkles like crazy. I do not think that this is coincidence.

Fire Witchery can be extremely exciting as well as, at times, somewhat unpredictable. Start slow and steady and gradually build yourself. You can start by simply lighting a candle. You do not have to go immediately for the bonfire. As you grow in confidence you can expand how you work with it.
