We all have, at times, options to consider. It doesn’t matter if it is a job opportunity, a relationship opportunity, or even a decision about which new-to-you vehicle to purchase. Decisions must be made as the options present themselves. Something that I have noticed is a tendency for people to not want to make the decision for themselves. Often they will want that responsibility to be placed on someone else instead of themselves. That way, if things go sideways, they have someone other than themselves to blame. All this is masked in the attitude that “Well, if it is meant to be then it will just happen.”
I have mentioned before that this attitude is a cop out. The Universe does provide, yes. But seriously, how entitled do you think you are if you think that the Universe will just spoon feed you everything you need without any participation on your part?
We have to be bold. Providence loves boldness. We have to decide what it is that we are wanting, who we are, what we stand for and then live our lives accordingly. That way we give the Universe something with which to work. This is an important lesson for many to learn. Often people wonder why it is that nothing seems to come their way. My question is, well, what have you ordered and how did you place your order?
The How is just as important as the What. Often people think that all they have to do is think that they want it and it will be provided. Nope. Or all they have to do is create a vision board and POOF it will be so. Nope. Place more energy into that. Create that thing as a goal and then WORK for it. The Universe is not saying “Get a job!” It is saying, “DO YOUR JOB.” When you put your own effort into the manifestation of something in your life you will find that it will come to you much faster.
The other thing to consider is this. Is what you are manifesting superficial or substantial? The superficial will feed you only for a short time. The substantial will sustain you throughout your life. You may, for example, need a car for transportation. A substantial manifestation will be a reliable car. A superficial one will be a red sports car with dual mufflers and wide rims. The superficial will often end up costing you more than the substantial.
I remember being around 15 or 16 and walking from school and seeing a young man in around his mid 20’s arriving home from work. He had the sports car and the nice house and the suit and the leather briefcase etc. I thought, for about 1.2 seconds, that I wanted all that for me. Having grown up more in poverty, it was understandable that I would have this as an aspiration. But then I had my mother’s voice in my head asking me the question, “But what must one sacrifice for something that is not substantial?” Suddenly I realized that he had all the trappings, and trappings they were for he was now trapped in debt, but was likely quite unsatisfied in his life because of the burden of those debts. Things can look awesome on the outside, but what they do to us on the inside can be quite harsh. It is not that I decided that I would forever live in poverty. It is that I decided that what I wanted to manifest had to actually be substantial in nature and last me for years to come. Yes, I have a car that I own. No, it is not a sports car. It is a very reliable car. Yes, I have a mortgage. No, I am not burdened by it because it is within my means. Yes, I have a suit. I only wear that to weddings and funerals. It serves its purpose. And my briefcase will hold not files but things like rattles, incense, an eagle feather, crystals etc.
These are things that I have manifested in my life that sustain me. And although there may be a cross over with what others have perhaps manifested for themselves, sometimes their side of that manifestation is only a trapping.
Someone said to me not long ago that they were told by a psychic that they are supposed to be a shaman. They were all excited that they were a shaman! I looked at them and said, “So what have you done towards that result?” There was a blank look on their face. I smiled and said, “You may be a shaman…ONE DAY… but this is not something that just comes to one automatically upon a psychic’s reading. There is a LOT of work and proper education that goes into becoming a shaman. Don’t think that you can just snap your fingers and suddenly announce to the world that you are a shaman. You need to put time and effort and YEARS of work into it.”
They responded with, “Well, I guess if it is meant to be it will happened.” I almost grabbed them by the throat and strangled them. Needless to say we had a long and frank conversation about spiritual LAZINESS. I let them know that if they were going to be lazy they would NEVER end up actually being a shaman but would instead be nothing more than a pretender. They were not happy and accused me of trying to crush their hopes and dreams. I told them to grow up and see that I was trying to help them manifest their dreams properly. I have not heard back from this person again, and that is okay. There is likely a long and steep learning curve that is now happening in their world. One day, they will thank me.
Yes, there is proper timing that goes into manifestation. But that timing is not completely up to the Universe. You are as much a keeper of the clock as is the Universe. Participate in the process and the time will FLY!
