Every now and then we encounter a person who is, for all intents and purposes, completely toxic…at least to us. Now, I have to admit, while mentioning this, that we are ALL toxic now and then. It is a matter of whether or not we want to change that behavior that counts the most, as well as whether or not we put the work into that change. There are some, however, who are so wrapped up in their own narcissism that they don’t want to even admit that they have toxic ways and, if they did, not only would they not want to change it but they would also feel quite justified in keeping themselves toxic as a form of power and control over others. These are the folks that will need to be introduced to The Void Box.
When I first learned about The Void Box I was skeptical. I did not see how using something like this could make any difference whatsoever. But after learning more about representational magic and how powerful it can be, I have to admit that The Void Box is a very reasonable option. Sometimes people worry themselves about using something like this for fear of bringing negative karma to themselves. But seriously, in cases like this YOU ARE THE KARMA. And as Karma, you can do this and not have any blowback whatsoever. Furthermore, Karma is nothing more than a concept. The more you believe in it, the less action you will take to defend yourself. When the appropriate action is definitely to defend and you pass that up out of a fear of karma, you create even more negative karma for yourself through your passive non-action.
So, what is a Void Box anyway? It is a representation of an aspect of the Void that holds and neutralizes negative energies. To create a Void Box you will need some supplies:
1. A wooden box with a latch on it. You can get these at craft stores. It does not matter what size it is.
2. Mosaic mirrors. Again, you can get these at craft stores.
3. Black paint.
4. Fine Silver glitter (this is something that I personally added for flavor).
5. Glue.
Once you have the supplies, paint the box black on the top, bottom, all the sides, inside and outside. This takes a little while as the paint has to dry. When the paint is still wet, sprinkle the silver glitter on it so that it sticks into the paint, creating a kind of star scape effect.
When this is complete on all sides, inside and out, and the paint is dry glue at least one mosaic mirror on all sides, top and bottom, inside and out. Once this is created you are ready to use The Void Box. At this point you will need a few other supplies:
1. A small piece of paper and a pen.
2. A small item of the person you are affecting change upon (this could be a thread from a piece of clothing, a strand of hair, a nail clipping, (and if nothing is available, a photo of the person will suffice).
3. A black candle (which is excellent for banishing) and if you don’t have a black candle, then use a white candle as that can be used as an easy substitute for absolutely any color.
4. Incense. I like to use Naag Champa, but you can also use Sandalwood, Cedar, or whatever kind you prefer.
Begin by lighting the candle and the incense. As always, use fire safe vessels for both. Smudge The Void Box with the incense all over it, inside and out. Place the items representing the toxic individual into The Void Box. With the pen, write or print the person’s name on the small piece of paper and place the paper into The Void Box. Then close the lid and latch it so that it is sealed well. Some folks like to also glue the lid shut. I personally think that this is a bit of overkill, but to each their own. Once the lid is closed and latched shut, say these words:
[Person’s Name] I place you now into this box, sealing away your toxic ways.
In here you will stay until you change.
The Void knows who you are, and The Void knows your name.
At this point you will snap your fingers (or clap your hands) three times to seal the spell. Once the spell is sealed, place The Void Box in a location that is safe and undisturbed, such as way up in the back corner of a shelf in a closet or some such place. Do not open the box again unless the toxic person has changed. But in the meantime, The Void Box will ensure that you are not affected by that toxic behavior. Do not be surprised if the person basically disappears from your life, at least for awhile. I have had this happen on a number of occasions. Poof…never to be seen again, even if they live in the same community. Most often they will actually move away. When that happens, just keep the box as is, because they may still not have learned their lessons. This can bring peace not just to your life, but possibly the lives of others who are around them.
