I had always intended for there to be a part 2 of the blog entry “The Fountain.” It is nice to finally be getting around to writing it. Just as a review, I would like to include the quote from the teachings of the “Fountain” card, from the tarot deck by the same name:
The Fountain exists outside and beyond the cycles of birth, death, time, and form. It is the nameless, changeless source of which everything is a part. It is the waking from the dream of separateness and identity, and the recognition of one’s Self as not only connected to all things, but ALL things – divine nature. When The Fountain appears in your reading, relinquish all illusion of control and remain quiet. It invites you to observe, master less, and to just be – effortless and indistinguishable from life. You are the voice and the breath of universes.
This teaching is much the same as what the teachings are about the Dream Weave, which, in essence, is the interconnectedness with all things throughout all time and throughout all universes. It is the divine nature that is within all. It is what helps us to make radical leaps in our development, be it personal, as a couple, as a group, as a culture, as a people, or as a planet. It is also tied into the radical leaps that have happened in technology over the last, say, 100 years.
But there is more to it. You see, not everyone is aware of the Fountain. And when we utilize the energy of the Fountain well, we create a ripple effect that is far reaching. When I was still in the early stages of my training as a shaman and healer, my teacher spoke of the Fountain as a particular flow of energy through the body of the physical, of the mental, of the emotional and of the spiritual aspects of each and every individual. The Fountain connects us to the innate intelligence of the energy body. It flows through the center line of the body, along what many call the conceptual and governing vessels. But it doesn’t just cycle up and down, as these vessels are reported to do. It whale spouts out the top and splashes down in all directions around the body, gathering below the feet and being sucked up through the Fountain system once again. It creates what some call the “Torus” in the energy system. This Torus is shaped in a donut like fashion through and around the body, the hollow center of which is in the core of the body along the center line, and the outer reaches of which surround the body quite a distance from the actual physical being. This ties into the teachings about one needing to become a “clear, clean hollow bone through which Spirit’s energy can flow.” That hollow bone is the center part of the Torus…the Fountain.
We all need to allow ourselves to become a Fountain. Allowing energy to flow through us and release is key to maintaining good health. For when we hold energy inside ourselves, bottling it up, we do damage to ourselves. We block the flow of energy and the Fountain is then unable to flush things through, to be processed, refreshed, and then cycled through again in a more positive way with a much more positive outcome.
An exercise one can do to encourage this flow is done either sitting or standing. As you breathe in, gently scoop energy from down in front of you, bringing it up the center line of the body. When you get to the top of the head, exhale and open your arms wide to the sky, and then gently bring the down along your sides. This is all done in one long inhale and exhale in a gentle manner. No stops and starts, no hesitations. Just a flow with the breath as the motion is also fluid and non-hesitant. So it will look much like it looks when one is in a pool and scoops water upward, tossing it in all directions around you. Doing this with your energy system encourages the flow of the Fountain within to activate and to clear out blockages within the energy system. But it also assists in the processing of energetic information, which we all receive every moment of every day. And this leads to a better understanding of said information, as well as a better understanding of all the triggers within oneself when said information approaches our energy system. It is like cleaning out a filtration system for your water and getting not just a stronger flow, but a flow of water that is more pure.
As we work on cleaning out our filtration system, and purifying the water of our individual energetic Fountain, we are then more clearly able to access the Fountain system of the entire collection of universes. This eventually leads to what ancient mystics call “enlightenment,” which is a state beyond the mundane world of perceptions and fears. It is a state of connected consciousness, sans the emotional and mental triggers that the former fears held for us. Then, and only then, are we truly free to explore the vast consciousness of all the universes. Then, and only then, can we actually accurately receive helpful information on behalf of our brothers and sisters so that they, too, can change their filters and purify their own water system, thus allowing their Fountains to flow clearly and easily as well.
And as we do this, the ripple effect that it has on the world around us is tremendous.
